


About the Cast
Whether you want to be centre-stage with a leading role or not a central as a member of the chorus, being a member of the cast could be for you!
What being a part of the backstage crew may entail:

In the form of backing as chorus or singing your own solo. This could be in our bigger productions such as our pantomimes or even in our smaller shows like our Christmas shows​
​
In some of our bigger productions such as the pantomimes, you will have the opportunity to act! this could be anywhere from a principle role to a member of the chorus
​
In some shows you may be given the opportunity to put your dancing shoes on and be part of the choreographed dances

About the Backstage Crew
The Roles of the backstage crew are just as important as the actors onstage, being part of the backstage crew means that you are essential to making the show run smoothly!

What being a part of the backstage crew may entail:

In preparation for the show:

Sound & Lighting-

Stage Setting-

Front of House-
Planning how set, costume, makeup, props and lighting may look and how the sound may be
​
Creating the set, costume, makeup and props, along with acquiring the sound
​
Promoting the shows to the public i.e. distributing posters
​
Being in charge of the selling of the tickets
​
​
Playing the sound and changing the lights on cue with the scenes and script
​
Moving the set, props and controlling the curtain during the show and ensuring that everything is where it should be so that they are in place when needed
​
Helping with directing people from their entrance to the building, and selling goods such as programmes, merchandise and food and drink to the audience on their arrival and during the interval
